Mahi mahi is a delicious, firm white fish that’s perfect for grilling, and when paired with a simple yet flavorful lemon garlic butter sauce, it becomes a dish that is both elegant and easy to prepare.

This grilled mahi mahi recipe delivers a smoky char, delicate flakiness, and a rich, buttery finish with a hint of citrusy brightness. The fish’s naturally mild flavor allows the garlic, butter, and lemon to shine, creating a harmonious balance of taste and texture.

What makes this dish so special is its simplicity and quick preparation time. In just under 20 minutes, you can have a restaurant-quality meal that pairs wonderfully with a variety of sides like roasted vegetables, quinoa, or a light salad.

Whether you’re firing up the grill for a summer cookout or looking for a healthy, weeknight meal, this grilled mahi mahi is an excellent choice.

The key to perfection is cooking the fish just long enough for it to be tender and flaky while locking in all the delicious, smoky flavors. With fresh parsley and a final squeeze of lemon, this dish is a must-try for seafood lovers.

Grilled Mahi Mahi with Lemon Garlic Butter

Ingredients

  • 4 mahi mahi fillets (6 oz each)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Directions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F). Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.

  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, paprika, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

  3. Pat mahi mahi fillets dry with a paper towel and brush both sides with olive oil.

  4. Place the fillets on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is opaque and easily flakes with a fork.

  5. During the last minute of grilling, brush the fish generously with the lemon garlic butter sauce.

  6. Remove from the grill and transfer to a serving plate. Drizzle any remaining sauce over the fillets and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

  7. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

10 consejos para cocinar este plato
