We recommend using a whetstone to sharpen your knives.

We have a range on our website and also have some articles on our blog, which talk you through the best way to look after and sharpen your knives, including recommended angles, etc

Knives should never go in the dishwasher. Dishwasher detergent is very abrasive, and along with the banging around that happens during a wash cycle, will take the sharp edge right off your knife. The high heat can also damage the handle or misshape them. Always wash knives by hand in the sink with dish soap and water and dry after.

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, within 30 days of placing your order, we will refund you for your purchase with no questions asked.

Hello, thank you very much for your knives, they are very beautiful, very sharp, easy to handle, and very lovely. Also, the knife sharpener is excellent. Thank you very much for your follow-up to ensure that the package reached my hands. Everything was done very well and with great care. I am very satisfied and thank you very much.

Beautiful finish, lovely and sharp

I ordered the chef knife + utility knife set (twice, in fact - one for me in the UK, one for my brother in Australia) and mine arrived first, very nicely packaged and safely wrapped, along with the sharpening stone set I also ordered. The knives are beautiful, individually and attractively boxed, and delivered seriously sharp. The utility knife matches the description exactly. The chef knife is somewhat thinner than I was expecting - the ad says 2.5mm, while mine is a shade under 2mm at its thickest (whereas the utility knife is slightly thicker, oddly, at a shade over 2mm). Thinner does mean it slices a bit easier, I guess, and it's certainly not flimsy or bendy. The pattern welding etch is subtler than it looks in some of the pictures, probably because the blade is mirror polished, which should help reduce its susceptibility to corrosion. The bolster and visible tang is, I believe, a different steel, welded to the damascus-clad blade, with the actual blade tang concealed within; the metal between the (extremely well fitted and finished) handle scales is way thicker than the blade. The back of the blade has its edges rounded off for comfort. The grind is mildly convex (but basically flat) with a minimal secondary bevel. The finish everywhere is excellent, and it cuts very well indeed.

Nice to use, nice to look at, good value! Happy with my purchase, and will happily shop here again!

P.S. Re: the delivery time, they did take quite a while, but it was worth the wait. There was a bit of a nail-biting gap between order confirmation and the tracking working, for the package for myself in the UK. Seems that tracking updates only start working once the royal mail have their hands on the package. More or less the opposite applied to the package destined for Australia - for that, the tracking worked great right up to customs clearance, then it disappeared into limbo for over a week. Trusting the system paid off, though, my package arrived first, and Australia Post have finally acknowledged that the other is now making its way across Australia. Possibly by kangaroo :-)
